Which one to get
All three are the same game and race in the same online rooms, so pick whatever suits your device. Friends on phones, PCs and browsers can all join one race.

Install on Android
- Tap Android at the top of this page. The file is 159 MB, so Wi-Fi is best.
- When the download finishes, tap Open. If you missed it, open your Files app and find BeachBuggyRacing.apk in Downloads.
- If Android says it can't install unknown apps from this source, tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
- Tap Install, then Open. The game's icon is now on your home screen.
If Google Play Protect says it doesn't recognise the developer, tap More details, then Install anyway. It asks because the game comes from this site, not from the Play Store.
Keep about 400 MB free for the download and the install. The game plays in landscape and keeps the screen on during races.
Install on Windows
- Click Windows at the top of this page to download BeachBuggyRacing-Setup.exe (112 MB). If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose Keep.
- Open it from your Downloads folder.
- If a blue window says Windows protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway. It shows for new programs that aren't signed with a paid certificate.
- Click Next, then Install. No admin password is needed: the game installs just for your Windows account.
- Leave Run Beach Buggy Racing ticked and click Finish. Next time, start it from the Start menu or your desktop.
The MSI installer
The Setup.exe is the one we recommend. The MSI installer (155 MB) installs the game for every user on the PC instead, and asks for admin rights. It's the same game: install one or the other, not both.
Choose your graphics card
Laptops often have two graphics cards. Open Settings, then Graphics, and pick the card to run the game on; the game restarts on it. Automatic lets Windows decide.
Good to know
- F11 switches between full screen and a window. The window remembers its size.
- Esc goes back, as in the game's menus.
- To remove the game: Windows Settings, Apps, Installed apps, Beach Buggy Racing, Uninstall.
Play in your browser
- Open beachbuggy.someless.top in Chrome, Edge or Firefox, on a computer or a phone.
- The first visit takes a little longer while the game loads. Later visits are quicker.
- Click or tap once on the title screen. Browsers keep a page silent until you touch it.
Install it as an app
In Chrome or Edge, click the install icon at the right of the address bar. On a phone, open the browser menu and choose Add to Home screen or Install app. The installed game opens in its own window and plays single races without internet.
Race online
- On the title screen choose Online Multiplayer.
- Type the name other players will see.
- Get into a room:
- Quick Join puts you in an open room.
- Pick any room from the list of public races.
- Join with Code if a friend gave you their room code.
- Create Room to host your own. Public rooms show in everyone's list; private rooms can only be joined with the code.
- In the room, press Choose Car to pick your driver and car, then press Ready.
- The host picks the track, a Single Race or a Championship, and whether AI Racers join. When everyone is ready, the host presses Start Race.
To invite friends, press Copy Link in your room and send it on WhatsApp or Telegram. The link opens the game with your room code filled in.
Rooms and races
- Up to 10 players in a room. With AI Racers on, the grid fills up to 6 cars.
- All 17 tracks, including Tutorial Bay and Magma Mountain.
- Six championships, from Sandcrab Sprint to the Ultimate Cup. Points add up race by race and the winners finish on the podium.
- Power-ups and driver abilities work as in single player, and hit the other players too.
- Once the first car finishes, everyone else gets a short countdown to cross the line.

- Auto-accelerate is on for keyboards and phones and off for gamepads. Change it in Settings, Controls.
- On a phone, choose Tilt, Touch A or Touch B in Settings, Controls. With Tilt, the way you hold the phone as the race starts counts as straight ahead.
- Gamepads use the Xbox layout. Press any button so the game notices it.
Smooth races
- Use Wi-Fi or strong 4G or 5G, and pause big downloads on the same network while you race.
- The game finds the fastest connection your network allows by itself. There is nothing to set up.
- Press F8, or choose Network in the pause menu, to see your ping and how you're connected.
- The server is in Europe, so players far from it see a little more delay.
- If a phone stutters, lower Display Scale in Settings, Graphics, close other apps, and let a hot phone cool down.
Problems and fixes
Android says "App not installed"
Check you have about 400 MB free. If you installed Beach Buggy Racing from somewhere else before, uninstall that one first, then install this APK again.
Play Protect blocked the install
Tap More details, then Install anyway. Play Protect warns about every app that doesn't come from the Play Store.
Windows says it protected my PC
Click More info, then Run anyway. The warning shows because the installer is new and isn't signed with a paid certificate.
"Connection lost" or I can't connect
A dropped connection doesn't end your race: the game reconnects in the background and you keep your place. "Reconnecting..." only shows if it takes more than 3 seconds, and "Connection Lost" only if your internet stays down for more than about 30 seconds. Then check your connection and open Online Multiplayer again. Some school and office networks block online games: try mobile data instead.
I can't find my friend's room
Private rooms don't show in the list. Ask your friend for the room code or the link from Copy Link. A room holds 10 players, so a full room can't be joined.
There's no sound in the browser
Click or tap anywhere on the game once. Also check the browser tab isn't muted and the game's volume in Settings is up.
The game is slow on my phone
Lower Display Scale in Settings, Graphics, close other apps, and take the phone out of its case if it gets hot. Phones slow themselves down when they overheat.
Tilt steering feels wrong
Hold the phone in landscape the way you want to drive before the race starts: that position counts as straight ahead. If you prefer buttons, switch to Touch A or Touch B in Settings, Controls.
My laptop runs the game on the weak graphics card
In the Windows app, open Settings, Graphics and choose the stronger card. In a browser, set your browser to use the high-performance card in Windows Settings, System, Display, Graphics.
Updates and your progress
The version on this page now is 1.2; the title screen shows yours at the top left. New in it: races carry on through a dropped connection, and the apps show an Update button when a newer version is out.
- Android: download the new APK from this page and install it over the old one. Your progress stays.
- Windows: download the new Setup.exe (or MSI) from this page and run it. It updates the game you already have.
- Browser: you always get the latest version. Reload the page after an update.
- Each device keeps its own progress, so what you win on your phone stays on your phone.

Join the groups to find a race, share room codes and hear about updates first.
