WHAT IS THIS TOOL?

Couch multiplayer, without the couch

Beach Buggy Racing has always had split-screen — but everyone had to sit at the same PC. BBR Online Multiplayer removes that limit. The host runs the game normally; the app streams the game window to your friends and turns their keyboard, touch, or gamepad inputs into virtual Xbox controllers plugged into your PC. The game itself is never modified or patched — it just sees extra controllers.

01

Host app

Runs on the host's Windows PC. It creates the virtual controllers, launches the game, and streams the game window to every player.

02

Room code

A public signal server matches you with your friends using a simple room code — then gets out of the way. Video and inputs flow directly between you.

03

Player page

Friends open your invite link in any browser — phone or PC. They see the live game and race using keyboard, on-screen touch controls, or a gamepad.

🌍

Online mode

Race friends anywhere on Earth over the internet. Quality depends on your upload speed and distance — the further away, the more it matters.

📶

Local mode NEW in v2.0

Everyone on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot — no internet needed at all. Ultra-low latency at full 1080p 60 FPS. The smoothest way to play; feels like real couch multiplayer.

Before you start — host requirements

  • A Windows PC with Beach Buggy Racing installed using BBR Manager V3 — this is required. The app looks for the game at C:\beach buggy remix\PurpleWindowsStore.exe, so other install methods won't be detected.
  • That's it — since v2.0 everything is bundled: no Python, no extra downloads. The app sets up the virtual controller driver itself.
  • For online play only: a decent upload internet speed, since you're streaming live video to every remote player. In Local mode this doesn't matter.
SETUP · HOST

Hosting a race

  1. Install the game with BBR Manager V3 if you haven't already.
  2. Download and launch the BBR Multiplayer Host app (button above).
  3. Pick a username and a room code (or generate a fresh code).
  4. Choose your mode: 🌍 Online for internet play, or flip the toggle to 📶 Local for same-Wi-Fi play. In Local mode, click Enable on the "LAN access" tile the first time.
  5. Click Start, then Open Host Page.
  6. On the host page: connect to the server, input the agent, and share your game window.
  7. Launch the game and enter split-screen mode.
  8. Copy the invite link and send it to your friends.
Three ways to set up Local mode: turn on Windows Mobile Hotspot on the host PC, share a phone hotspot everyone joins, or just have everyone on the same home Wi-Fi router.
SETUP · FRIENDS

Joining a race

  1. Open the invite link in any browser — phone, tablet, or PC. Nothing to install.
  2. Enter a player name.
  3. Choose controls: keyboard, on-screen touch buttons, or a connected gamepad.
  4. When the host enters split-screen, you're in the race as Player 2, 3, or 4.
Best experience: use 📶 Local mode when everyone is in the same place — no internet needed, almost zero latency, full 1080p 60 FPS. It feels like real couch play. Online mode works anywhere, but quality depends on the host's upload speed and distance.
